The Forbidden City history:

It is best preserved royal family palace in China,  even in the world, it was first built in 1420,  there were 24 emperors lived there to rule China,  totally 491 years from Ming and Qing Dynasty,  untill 1911,  the last emperor was pushed out by revolution, it opened to public as a museum in 1925.

Layout the Forbidden City:

It covers area 72 hectares with large number of rooms inside,  according to the popular saying,  that there were 9,999 and half rooms in the forbidden city in the old days,  all of them arranged in good layout of cymmetry based on Chinese Fengshui,  the buildings can be divided into 3 routes from east to west,  the large buildings standing in the middle as important ones,  and smaller ones located on both side at east and west,  each building has it’s own function according to the royal family rules.  The forbidden city also named the forbidden palace museum,  it displays the traditional Chinese architectures,  which was built 600 hundred years ago,  also many royal family collections displaying in the museum,  all of them are valuable historical relics today.

Visit the Forbidden City:

Walking in the forbidden city about 2 hours,  to see numerous detailed Chinese architecture by standing closely,  and image the royal families life style from 15th to early 20th centuries,  also you can learn a lot knowledge of Chinese architecture.

Also extend walking after the interesting walking in the frobiden city,  there is a large park in front of you,  when you get out of the forbidden city,  it is JinshaPark,  it use to be a park for royal family during Ming(1398-1644) and Qing(1644–1911)Dynasties,  The park just located at north-soth central axis of the city,  covers area of 23 hectares,  the symbolic building in the park are the 5 towers, which built on the artificial moutain,  2 on each side, 1 in the middle built on the top of the arificial moutain,  by standing in the tower, you can overlook the whole view of the Forbidden city,  numerous shining,  golden palaces must give you unexpected suprise.

The entrance ticekts should be booked in advance, other wise you can not get in without tickets reservation, especilly during busy season.
